I have added a new photo of the Denver Botanic Gardens Populus tremuloides – Aspen clump style Bonsai tree to the Aspen Bonsai page. Look for it at the bottom of the page gallery! Aspen trees commonly grow in clumps in nature. I believe the largest organism on earth by mass is an Aspen clump growing in Utah’s Fishlake National Forest covering 107 acres. It even has a name “Pando“.
