HomeUncategorizedColorado Bonsai – Bonsai design discussion

Bonsai Empire has a new video out titled “Bonsai design discussion“. This video features International Bonsai Master Nacho Marin. A quote from Bonsai Empire “Nacho Marin talks about the aesthetics of Bonsai, and how it should express a deeper feeling like longing, solitude, loneliness, etc. We also see his amazing collection, in Venezuela.”. This is an incredible video for so many reasons. I personally like what Nacho has to say about design, the “Deadwood” on his Deciduous trees, the naturalistic designs of his trees, how he analyzes a tree and turns it into something that was not the way it was when it was collected. I enjoyed the fact that Nacho says you do not see traditional designed Bonsai trees growing that way in nature. Nacho is absolutely right you do not see that. Bar branches grow that way in nature, but it is not acceptable in traditional Bonsai designs. The list just goes on and on about what you do not see in nature, I do like traditional designed Bonsai trees to. My comments are a synopsis of what I thought I heard/read I might of misinterpreted a couple of things, but I don’t thinks so? This is a video to down load and keep on your computer for ever. I added the video to the Styles (Design) page under Bonsai Basics page.
