Many years ago I purchased a Fothergilla shrub from Home Depot for $3 at the end of the year sale. It was in bad shape and I let it grow and nursed it back to health. Sometime around 2014 I put it into a nice Bonsai pot and it looked pretty good. This is one shrub that has larger leaves that turn brilliant red in the fall. Sorry but my photo is somewhat blurry, but it is the only photo I have of the tree.
