The Denver Botanic Gardens (DBG) has a very nice “Crown of Thorns” Bonsai. The scientific name of the tree is “Euphorbia milii f. cristata”. I think this is one of the best Bonsai trees in the Gardens collection. International Bonsai Master and DBG Curator Larry Jackel rescued the tree from the recycle pile at DBG. Larry has turn this succulent into a top notch Bonsai. This tree is always in bloom, I have never seen it take a rest. There does not seem to be many examples of this tree used as Bonsai on the internet. I have failed to find another one.
