Colorado Bonsai – Pinus Contorta “Taylors Sunburst” Design
I have always been fascinated by Pinus Contorta “Taylors Sunburst” trees. In the spring needles on the new candles are bright yellow and the trees are breath taking as they get big. I decided I wanted to try one as a Bonsai. I finally found one I could afford, bought it, buried it in a bunker for a long time. I took the tree out of the bunker this spring and took it down to Larry Jackel’s Friends of Pavilion workshop at the Denver Botanic Gardens.
The tree has been totally styled now and I have built a new page on the website showing the development of the tree and it can found here: Pinus Contorta “Taylors Sunburst” under Pinus Contorta Shore/Lodgepole in the Conifers and Pine Trees section.
