I ordered a Hosta “Teaspoon” which is suppose to only grow 6 inches tall. I thought this Hosta would make a good Bonsai Accent plant to use with a Bonsai Tree at a Bonsai show. It arrived in the spring and it looked pretty good. I had already unloaded all of the available Bonsai pots to use with the Hosta. They were all over plastic tables waiting to serve. I picked out a nice bluish Chuck Iker pot that had a wavy pattern on the sides of the pot. I thought the two should look really good together. One of the great things about these really small Hosta’s is that you can set them in the pot and see how they look. I like to have some Hosta’s in glazed and unglazed pots.

Well by July, 2020 the host was growing well in its new pot. The Hosta was growing on the south side of my house under 30% shade cloth. The Hosta was sitting on the ground/gravel bunker which is a lot cooler then on top of the growing bench. The Hosta loved where it was growing, as did the others. Guess were there going in 2021?

I used the Hosta in the local Bonsai show latter in the summer.
