I have tried using Spiraea(s) for Bonsai several times and I have found them to be tempremental when being used as Bonsai. I gave up on a number of them and don’t really recommend them for Bonsai. However I still had two in the collection. One a Japanese Spirea and someother one which escapes me when I try to remember what it is. This spring I did spot a new bush that looked pretty interesting to me based only on the shape of the leaves. I looked at the tag and it said “betulifolia” which looks like a Birch leaf. So I bought one. So I finally added a new Spirea to the collection, lets hope for the best!

I made this page to list generic Bonsai Information of Spirea(s) and wil add more species when I have time to do so.
