The following Picea pungens – Colorado Blue Spruce Bonsai #3 Bonsai tree was  obtained by me from legendary yamadori collector Jerry Morris. I was invited by Jerry to come over to his beautiful home to pick out a Blue spruce. I immediately fell in love with the first tree I saw. I paid Jerry and proudly brought her home. It is a honor to have a tree that was collected by Jerry! I styled this tree several years ago and must admit it did not turn out well. I lost a major branch and it was not doing well. I doubled my efforts in getting it healthy again and it has been strongly growing for the last several years. Lots of growth everywhere. I restyled the tree in a more natural style that may not appeal to some artists. But then again, its my tree, so why not? It still needs some work on it and it will be fun to see how it can  be improved over the 2021 growing season. I did use aluminum wire on the tree and I did not want snow to weigh the branches down. The tree was placed in a gravel bunker and I used two wooden saw horses placed on each side of the tree. I then laid scrap pieces of lumber across the tops of the saw horses leaving gaps between the boards. Most of the snow will land on the scrap boards and not weigh down the branches. I just checked the tree two days ago and the plan is working out great. I needed to use the saw horses. The tree looks just like it did. The tree is planted in a 15″ Anderson pot and as you can see it is really tall. Some of the deadwood on the tree was done by me. I will let you try to figure out where on the tree it is?! I placed my other aluminum wired trees directly underneath my wooden plant stands. They are also doing great under as the snow can reach them. I just have to remember to water all of them! My photos are horrible, pretty much all them!

I may end up reducing the overall size of this spruce tree and try to bring it back in some.
