I saw a really cute colorful shrub Kolkwitzia amabilis – “Maradco” “Dream Catcher” – Beauty Bush at Nick’s Garden Center in Aurora that I thought would make a nice semi-cascade or maybe a full cascade. So I bought the 1 gallon tree/shrub and gave it a initial design. The tree was designed and potted into a Chuck Iker pot and put on display in the 2013 local Bonsai show. The tree was very popular do the unusual species. I have made a page for my Dream Catcher, under Deciduous Bonsai trees. I highly recommend this species for Bonsai if you can find with an interesting trunk.
