Colorado Bonsai – Syringa pubescens subsp. patula ‘Miss Kim’
I have finally made a page for may favorite Lilac a Syringa pubescens subsp. patula ‘Miss Kim’. This was one of my first finds as a new Bonsai artist, it came from the Longmont Tree Farm. I was so excited to have this beauty in my budding collection, the manager of the nursery, a Bonsai artist himself, suggested removing one of the two large branches. Well I did have to make a decision about that when I arrived home, the lowest main branch had been ripped almost all the way off the tree!! As I was paying for this tree and several others, Chad, cashier, immediately new I was a Bonsai artist, or at least a hopeful Bonsai artist. How funny it was that it was that obvious why I was buying these with large trunks!!! Well anyway this is one of my long time project trees, and I think it is looking pretty good. The new page is listed under my Lilac page and of course Deciduous Bonsai.
