Colorado Bonsai – Field Guide to Old Ponderosa Pines in the Colorado Front Range
I have found a really neat in depth article on Old Ponderosa Pines in the Colorado Front Page. This article was produced by the United States Department of Agriculture. The article has a lot of photos of old trees and it explains how to tell how old the tree is by its characteristics of the bark and shape of the tree etc. I have added the article to the Ponderosa Pine page, shown under Pine Bonsai, listed under Conifers in the Tree Information page. Ponderosa Pines make great Bonsai. I was amazed to see the old Ponderosa Pines can turn into Flat Top pines with great age. Maybe we will see a Flat Top Ponderosa Pine Bonsai someday?
You may review the document below or on the Ponderosa Pine page.
