CNN is reporting in an article titled “Bonsai thief steals $118,000 of tiny trees” that some of the best Bonsai in Japan were stolen. I would recommend a home security system if you have really expensive trees or if there is significant scentimental reasons in a tree. There are several good articles on Bonsai Security page.
