I just made a new page for my favorite Forestiera Neomexicana – New Mexico Privet Bonsai tree. I call this tree the “no brainer” tree. I found it in a nursery in Longmont, Colo. sitting there with a bunch of other much smaller trunked trees. The trunk/roots were perfect. You would have to be crazy for not going to get a cart immediately and putting it on it. I also kept a close eye on it while it was on the cart so no one else would take it away from me. New Mexico Privet make really great Bonsai and there not expensive to buy either which is another plus. They fatten up pretty quick when planted in the grown for a number of years to.

The Longmont Tree Farm is a great place to look for nursery stock by the way. Its a very large nursery and can wondering around for hours just looking. The nursery is run by an experienced Bonsai artist from California. He is really a nice guy and great to talk to.
