Michael Hegedorn has a nice article titled “A ‘Cliff Bonsai’—Western Hemlock Styling“. This is a great article to learn how to plant a tree on or in a lace stone. Take a close look at the growing box, notice how the tree is growing through the side of the box and the use of screening material.
