I have updated the page on Chaenomeles speciosa “Toyo-Nishiki” – Quince Bonsai page with new out of leaf photo gallery and an updated status on the tree itself. The tree benefited from the installation of 30% shade cloth right at the start of the hot season in Colorado when temperatures started reaching 90 degrees (f) and above. Raccoons were bound and determined to destroy the tree to. The did manage to break a foot of the pot! Note the beautiful wooden foot underneath the pot!
