I have made a new page for one of my three Pyracantha coccinea – Firethorn Bonsai trees from a local nursery. This tree is the largest of the three trees (30 inches tall) purchased in 2012. Except for the thorns I really like them for Bonsai trees. The trick is to find one with a single trunk that has some interesting movement in it. This tree was allowed to grow unchecked each year and then pruned back in the spring to increase trunk size and develop ramification. This tree is fully wired.
