HomeUncategorizedColorado Bonsai – Dancing with pines…(not for hoi polloi) – Rare Photos & Story

Prairiebreak Blog has a really great article “Dancing with pines…(not for hoi polloi)” on the origins of the magnificent character Ponderosa pines in the Denver Botanic Gardens Japanese Garden. Follow along with the author and International Bonsai Master and Denver Botanic Gardens Bonsai Curator Larry Jackel and Rocky Mountain Bonsai Society member Jerry Morris to step back in time and see where these historical trees came from high in the Rocky Mountains. This is a rare treat to see where these trees came from and to be led by one of original collectors of the trees is a dream come true. A big thank you goes to Prairiebreak Blog for documenting and publishing this historical event! I have added the article to the Pinus Ponderosa Bonsai page under Pines Bonsai, Conifers Bonsai and Bonsai Tree Information pages.
