International Bonsai Master Mauro Stemberger has a new video out titled “IBUKI RED ROCK” which features Mauro planting a Juniper on a red volcanic rock. This is an interesting video to watch. Mauro uses screws in the rock to help anchor the tree down. Wire is wrapped around the screws and then stretched to another screw to secure the tree. Mauro also uses a hammer/chisel to remove some of the rock. Finally Mauro adds a piece or two of deadwood to the rock to give the illusion of great age to the composition.
