International Bonsai Master Jonas Dupuich has a new article out titled “Bare-rooting a trident maple“. Jonas describes and shows what a tree with poor roots looks like. He does some root pruning and the re-pots the tree in a new pot. I have placed the article on the Repotting page under Bonsai Basics.
