International Bonsai Master Jonas Dupuich has a new article out titled “Options for addressing dieback low on the trunk“. In this article Jonas discusses what to do with a dead section of the roots and lower trunk on a large Stewartia Bonsai tree. He walks his readers through all of the options on what to do which is a good learning opportunity for his artists. I vote for leaving the tree alone, I like Deciduous trees with deadwood.
