I have updated my Chaenomeles speciosa ‘Double Take Scarlet Storm’ Bonsai tree with a new gallery when the tree was blooming in 2020. This particular cultivar is rather new and finding one with a large trunk can be a challenge. I did find this one and grew it out in its for several years. Spring is the best time to look for quince when they have no leaves for flower buds on them. The trunk/branch structure is pretty evident then. If you find one with a good trunk/branches then buy it and grow it out over a couple years.
