The Conifer Society has a video titled “Jerry Morris – Conifer Society Preview“. This is one of the most important videos I have ever posted. Jerry Morris is an extraordinary man chock full of wisdom from his 80+ years of life on this earth. Many of these years had Jerry wondering mountains all over the west looking for best yamadori trees to collect or brooms growing on trees, mostly conifer trees. Jerry would collect broom samples from the mountains bring them home and graft to root stock. Jerry then would select the best grafts and send them to nurseries all over the world for the development. Jerry did all of this free and a lot of commercially developed miniature/dwarf trees on the market were found by Jerry and shared with the world. Jerry is a kind man who treats all with Respect, Dignity and Kindness.

If you watch the video closely you will see many trees with Broom growing on them that look out of place on the trees. These are the growths Jerry would look for when he was hiking in the mountains. He actually told me he found a Broom that was so far up in a very tall tree he could not climb the tree to get it. He proceeded to tell me he SHOT the broom off the tree with a rifle shot. You know what, I believe Jerry to, he did shoot the broom right off the tree, no doubt, no doubt it is true.
