Kaya Mooney has a very nice article out titled “KOROMOGAE PHILOSOPHY & ROCKY MOUNTAIN JUNIPER“. In this article Kaya discusses grafting Itogawa juniper onto a Rocky Mountain Juniper and he gives you his reasoning for doing so. He also uses small plastic bags that go over the scions to help keep them fresh and not dry out while the union heals. Sounds like a great idea to me.
