Lost Highways: Dispatches from the Shadows of the Rocky Mountains is a new public service being provided by History Colorado funded by the Sturm Family Foundation. The goal of the group is to provide/publish stories about Colorado that may not have been heard before.
“Bonsai Behind Barbed Wire” is the second story being told by the group. The story tells about the early days of the Bonsai movement in Colorado and what the original club members had to endure as Japanese Americans during World War II. Bonsai was a big part of their lives.
