I used to marvel at the Ocotillo trees when visiting my parents home in Alamogordo, New Mexico. I actually found an Ocotillo (Fouquieria macdougalii)  right here in the Denver metro area a number of years ago. I basically just let it grew and then chopped it off last fall. It was planted into a Bonsai pot a few days ago. It put out new buds within a couple of days of being outside. I have made a new page for the species, use link above.
