HomeUncategorizedColorado Bonsai – Why is my pine yellow? A black pine troubleshooting guide

International Bonsai Master Jonas Dupuich has a new article out titled “Why is my pine yellow? A black pine troubleshooting guide“. In this article Jonas reviews the many reasons why a Japanese Black Pine Bonsai may have yellow needles. I was not prepared for all of the reasons. I have two JBP that had yellow needles. One has returned to dark green needles and the other has not. Both treated the same by me. I believe I found my answer in the wrong soil and to much water. I will be repotting it in the spring. I have added the article to the Pinus thunbergii – Japanese Black Pine page under Pines Bonsai and Conifers Bonsai and Bonsai Tree Information pages.
